Die, die, you zombie bastards.

Weezer is releasing the Black Album soon and they have kicked it off with a song titled "Zombie Bastards." Right off the bloody bat, you probably know this song will be paired with something dark such as a stout or a porter. So let's get started…

Now, there could be a hidden message behind the new single but after looking at the lyrics, it sure seems like it's about surviving a zombie apocalypse.
"Die, die, you zombie bastards. We know what you want."
However, if Weezer were fighting zombies, much like many of us have fantasized, they would make the most of it. In such a world, there is nothing to worry about other than staying alive and rescuing the human race. It's a dark and grim world but there is no need for The Man because you are The Man. There is no reason to worry about your career, retirement, paying bills, or really anything that involves money.

There are two ways to survive. You can hide from the brain-eaters until your crew tells you it's safe to go outside or you can fight the bastards yourself and be the hero.
"If I die, it means that I lived my life and that's much better than hiding in a hole."
The song kicks off with a simple acoustic guitar riff and then comes in the drums and cymbals creating a slow ska-like anthem. Eventually you start hearing electronic guitar and keys along with background chanters shouting "hey" with a little distortion to give it a cold-blooded and emo vibe.

But this new world isn't all cruel. After all, you still have the love of your life and you'll be singing on the top of your lungs because of the happiness your sweetheart brings you. You'll take down the undead as if you were Bonnie and Clyde. You have a figurative bounty on your literal head but it's all good as long as you have your better half on your side.
"Welcome to the jungle, to the jungle. Baby, it's you and me. Walk between the raindrops, 'tween the raindrops, singing along to Queen."
Nothing represents something dark and sweet like a mint-chocolate stout. Add this song to your casual playlist and take a listen after dinner as you enjoy this dessert beer by Southern Tier. Their Thick Mint Stout has a strong taste of mint and chocolate along with a note of caramel. It's strong just like when you bashed in that zombie's brain that one time.
