Are we too far gone?

"Beginning Of The End," another catchy song in Robert DeLong's new EP will make you put your shoulders back and snap your fingers as if you were in a hip-hop music video from the early 2000s. But that's just the percussion of the song. There is so much more to it.

Just like most of RDL's music, this song is a mirage of both rock and techno. It's a "mirage" because it's not quite either but really his own thing. It's hard to put in words so you'll just have to listen to understand for yourself. His music is truly unique just like his shows. RDL plays everything on stage: drums, guitar, vocals, and he even makes his own instruments.

"Beginning Of The End" is a love song about breaking up. Your significant other is about to break up with you and you know it. It doesn't matter what you do because you've already messed up.
"Are we too far gone? 'Cause you're looking at me now like it's out of my hands. Hold on; there must be something left to lose."
It's been a long time coming but your not sure what quite went wrong or when it happened. You've been growing apart for some time now. You know it's almost over.
"Did I miss the beginning of the end? Where did we go wrong? Or are we too far gone?"
It's sad but that's just how life is. We all act differently after a bad breakup. Some of us will go out and party all night to get it off our minds. Some of us will stay at home and drink alone. But most readers of this blog know, one of the most satisfying things at such a time is drinking a cold one.

Any RDL song must be paired with a complex beer with many flavors to complement every skill Robbie performs on stage. If the grain, hops, yeast, and water create the stage, then what makes the drums, guitar, keys, and vocals?

Rhinegeist Brewery's rosé ale, Bubbles, makes a great pairing. It has notes of apple, peach, and cranberry which can be the yin to RDL's instrument's yang. And the bubbles take place of the lyrics to bring it all together into one wonderfully refreshing beverage.
