I want to have a party.

Chevy Mustang is the European persona of Max Collins, lead singer of Eve 6 and Fitness. He's basically the man. No one can mess with this classy mother-ucker. Chevy Mustang doesn't care about anything and will do whatever he wants. His confidence is on another level.

"Because I Want To" is Chevy Mustang's first creation. He tells us what he wants and he will make it happen. Even if it's not his birthday, he wants to celebrate it. He tells us he wants to go to Disney World, go skinny dipping, pop some popcorn, solve a mystery, date a model, and so much more. He tells us why he wants to do all this too. It's because he wants to! That's it. Nothing more.

"I want to have a birthday. I want to have a party. I want to make it happen. Why? Because I want to!"

Next up is "Aphrodisiac." Chevy talks about his own aphrodisiac and how it affects him when he's with his lady. He might be on his high horse in this song which isn't any different than any other story he sings about. However, he literally sings from 3 to 21. Only Mr. Mustang has the confidence to do this.

"Less is more. More is less...more or less."

Then Chevy Mustang releases "Can I Be Your Friend" alongside Evan Rachel Woods. They really just talk about how cool each other are and ask if they could be friends. No normal person would ask to be someone's friend because they own things they think are cool such as a Keurig or a laser pointer. However, Chevy Mustang is no normal person. Like mentioned earlier, he has confidence.

"Oh, I see you have a nickname; can I be your friend? Oh, I see you have a girlfriend; can I be your friend? Oh, I see you have a schedule; can I be your friend? Oh, I see you have a...what do you call it when you need to protect yourself from being sued? How you say in English? Oh! An LLC! Can I be your friend?"

"Panpsychic" is straight up poetry. Let's just say this is a colorful rap. Go listen to it for yourself to see what Chevy is all about. He's erotic.

"This is what it's like...what it feels like to be alive."

"I Don't Care" is about how Mustang does not care. He thinks everyone should do what they want. If they can do what they want, then he can do what he wants. He really does not care about anything. That is until you actually learn about something that he takes an interest to... financial issues. Who would have expected that? Haha, just kidding! He still does not care.

"Poverty and hunger and general malaise...I don’t know what people are thinking these days. When I lie awake at night I feel the despair but then I remember I don’t care."

Lastly, Chevy teams up with Kevin Federline on "Man in the Middle." In this song, we learn about Chevy Mustang's arch nemesis, the music industry itself. There is the artist, and there are the listeners. But there is a lot inbetween. There are managers, accountants, and marketing firms to name just a few.

"This is a man in the middle attack between the a**hole and ball sack. This is a man in the middle attack and I want my motherf***ing money back."

Usually this blog only pairs one song with one beer but with a new persona like this, it's really best to listen to everything Chevy Mustang has to offer to really get who he is. Firstly, with the European accent, the beer to drink while listening to this artist must be a venture that started in Europe. Next, it must be a beer that screams confidence.

BrewDog's operation started in Ellon, Scotland and then they started operations all across the world including the USA which seems perfect for a name like Chevy Mustang. It's a very American name after all.

BrewDog USA has operations in Ohio, Indian, and Pennsylvania and is currently shipping beer to Nebraska, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and the District of Columbia.

Heck, why don't we pair these songs with a variety pack? Six songs deserve at least four beers including:

  • Pulp Patriot Blackcurrant, a blackcurrant milkshake IPA;
  • Kaiser Co-Op, a German-style dortmunder;
  • Choco Libre (nitro), a Mexican chocolate stout; and
  • Jet Black Heart (nitro), a vanilla oatmeal milk stout
This is BrewDog's Fall variety pack so you can be expecting new seasonal beers for delivery throughout the year.

Oh! If you didn't know, this worldwide brewery definitely has confidence in their production. They hold the world record of the strongest beer ever sold at their original operation in Scotland. It was called The End of History and had a 55% ABV.

P.S. You can listen to (nearly) all songs in this blog on Spotify here. However, "Because I Want To" will be the only song by Chevy Mustang on this playlist so it stays balanced between the many different alternative genres mentioned in this blog.
