Sometimes the only way out is as a carcass.

You're in the Mafia and you made a deal with the devil. You promised to follow through but you got caught. Now you're going to court and you can't bring up who you're working with. If you do, it's the end of you.

"I bet my billionth bottom dollar on a hopeless case and now the devil on my shoulder has a knife to my face."

Maybe it's time to talk to daddy. After all, he has connections. He can get you out of anything. But then again, if he helps you, you will pay. No, not with money; you're broke after paying your lawyer. You'll pay with something much more severe, most likely your life.

"Sometimes the short end of the stick is the sharpest. Sometimes the only road to take is the darkest. Sometimes all you gotta say is 'Daddy, make it go away.' Sometimes the only way out is as a carcass."

After talking to daddy, you find it's in your best interest to stay away from him and his workers. You go back to court and the police ask who you're working with again. This time you consider it.

"I’ve got too close to the furnace. I’ve been on both sides of the glass."

"Sometimes" by Nick Lutsko tells a fun but dark story. It's probably not about the Mafia but it's definitely about making choices. The faster you make that choice, the less it will hurt.

Do you know what else is fun and dark? Mobsters might not drink them but chocolate stouts are perfect for such a song. Definitely listen to this song while sipping on something dark, smooth, thick, and delicious such as Rogue's Chocolate Stout. The flavors will pop you in the face just like the punches the trumpets and piano take in Nick Lutsko's song, "Sometimes."

Rogue also has as a Double Chocolate Stout. And their Chocolate Stout is also available in nitro cans.
