One of the most forward tasting notes in Gordon Biersch's Hefeweizen is bubble gum. In fact, even though bananas and cloves are most commonly associated with hefes, the taste of bubble gum is found in many hefeweizens.

According to Gordon Biersch themselves, the aroma of their hefe is "slightly sweet and fruity, with the classic banana, citrus and bubble gum ester character of German Hefeweizen yeast, as well as a touch of toasted bread."

When enjoying this beer, give "Bubblegum" by The Happy Children a listen. Its a simple song but simplicity is what makes this song great just like a good hefeweizen. There are only a few lyrics with some amazing lines rhyming with one-syllable words. It's a soft melody and builds up throughout the song creating a spark of energy.
